Hey there, I’m Gordon Ly. I’m a full-time content creator and husky dad. Here’s my story.

I’m just an ordinary 25-year old dude making his dream a reality.

After attending the University of Arizona and achieving a Dietetics degree, I pursed the entrepreneur route right after college. The 9-5 was not for me - I knew I was meant to do much MORE. I was 22 year old with not much to risk and I knew that was the time to do this.

In January 2016, I launched my first business, Unbeaten Apparel. Being a fitness enthusiast and having a passion for fashion, I decided to create an activewear brand. I was a 22 year old with a big dream. Everything I learned (until this day) was self-taught. From starting a business, to marketing to content creation - if I didn’t know something, you bet I would have late nights figuring it out.

Fast forward 1 1/2 years - the business wasn’t scaling like I envisioned. But the faster you fail, the quicker you learn. My passion for content creation grew every single day and I had a shift in direction for my future.

I could’ve stuck it out in the fashion industry for a few years or make a change and pursue something else. That’s what I did.

Like most creatives, it started as a side hustle. I grew my portfolio by working for free. After a few gigs, I threw a price tag on my work and was stoked people were actually paying me for it. I knew I was on to something and after seeing consistent income to pay my bills - I went full time.

I started my video production and photography business, LYVISUALS, in May 2017 and never looked back.

Being able to create something from nothing and seeing the reactions from my clients looking at the final product was a feeling I never had before. This was a high that kept me going - even when times were tough.

Fast forward to 2019, I was able to scale LYVISUALS to a six-figure business. I’ve been able to work with entrepreneurs, businesses and brands I could have only dreamt of a year ago.

2019 will be a year I will never forget.

I was able to marry my best friend and right hand. I have 3 beautiful huskies who are my fur babies. We purchased a home and have been in it for a year. I’ve been able to make a living ‘shooting videos’ and ‘taking pictures’ - that’s crazy.

My goal is to help and educate other creatives turn their passion into their paycheck.

I’ve been through the struggles and I want to help aspiring content creators know that their dream doesn’t have to stay a dream. It can be their reality.
